Up and Coming Events

Seed Potato Weekend – February 18-19th 2012

As usual we’ll be offering a wide selection of seed potatoes and other things to get you off to a good start for the 2012 growing season.  This year our seed potato price is 35p per pound.

Previous events

Apple Day – Saturday 24th September 12 – 3 p.m.

On Saturday 24th September Old Trafford Amateur Gardeners’ Society is inviting local people to an Apple Day at Seymour Grove Allotments. All over the country events celebrating Apple harvests are organised each year and ours celebrates the diversity of apples grown on our young community orchard “Orchard 49″ and by plotholders on our site.

Between 12 – 3pm, local people are invited to visit the Apple day event . On offer are:

Apple Juicing with our traditional apple Press – sample the delicious freshly pressed juice;
Taste some of the apples we grow on our site;
Home made cakes and pies with a fruity theme;
Raffle – with prizes donated by local businesses;
Take a walk around our allotment site, see how our gardens grow;
Visit the Community Orchard – see how much we have achieved, get involved!
Enjoy some quiet family time in the fresh air.
