Community Plot
Welcome to the website of Old Trafford Amateur Gardeners' Society Community Plot page.
The Community Plot is still going strong with about 12 regulars coming for gardening sessions on Thursdays and Saturdays. Some of the keener gardeners tend the plot at other times. In the next few months we will see lots happening as contractors are due to start work to build raised beds to provide wheelchair access, put fencing round the whole plot and mark out small sections for individual growing. There is also going to be a new greenhouse next to the polytunnel. The little pond will be fenced off with espalier fruit trees trained on the fencing and last, but not least a bench in memory of Ken who was one of the regulars will be placed on the plot. All this has been funded through grants from Awards for All and with the assistance of Groundwork.
